AE Design Invests in Continued Growth, Promotes Several Team Members
Integrated lighting, technology, and electrical solutions firm introduces project managers across design & engineering teams
As AE Design continues to strengthen and grow its team, the integrated lighting, technology, and electrical solutions firm has promoted three team members on its design and engineering teams to project manager roles. Mio Stanley and Brian Johnson have been promoted from senior project designer to project manager, and former senior project engineer, Zach Clawson, has also accepted his new role as project manager.
The internal promotions not only further reinforce AE Design’s goals for its continued growth and development but support the entire firm in its vision of transitioning into its projected organizational structure, with a bench of strong project managers to serve client partners and expand the business.

The project managers have been elevated from their previous roles, largely due to AE Design’s Project Management Academy. The internal program empowers and challenges team members to operate in advanced capacities, meanwhile showcasing their ability to exceed expectations with a consistent and exemplary willingness and excitement to take on new roles and responsibilities.
Brian Johnson came to AE Design directly from university - and it’s been incredibly special to watch him succeed in each role he has taken on. Brian is a go-getter, someone who is insightful and truly understands how to apply what he’s learned to real problems. From being a specialist for Low Voltage Technology Systems, Brian has embraced each and every opportunity to learn and grow at AE Design thus far and we are proud to congratulate him on this new chapter in his career at AE Design.
This promotion is more than well-deserved for Mio Stanley. From her personal mentoring sessions and the proactive initiative she has always taken regarding her personal growth journey, we’re excited to watch Mio shine as a project manager. Since joining AE Design right out of college, we’ve been fortunate to have a front row seat to her continued development. Mio’s voice, thoughts, and leadership will make a big impact on the project management team and with her fellow designers. For anyone who wishes to take control of their own AE Design experience, and also customize it to their own passions and aspirations, Mio is a great example and role model.
Zach Clawson has made such a meaningful impact in a short time since joining AE Design. As soon as he joined the team, Zach hit the ground running with an energized speed, adopting all AE Design standards and creating strong relationships inside and outside of the firm. Bringing impressive qualifications to the table, Zach will only continue to strive and make our team all the more effective in its expertise and knowledge. We have the utmost trust in his abilities and leadership, we can’t wait for him to continue creating meaningful relationships with clients, many of whom already consider him their main point of contact. In their new roles, Stanley, Johnson, and Clawson will provide creative and proactive solutions for AE Design clients and projects. While collaborating with, and teaching other designers within their teams, they’ll ensure the firm continues to excel at a high level in project management and ensure the client’s expectations are exceeded, while expanding client relations and providing a stronger basis for AE Design to provide high-end services.
