SENIOR LIGHTING DESIGNER
Full Time Position
The wage range for this position is $80,000-$130,000 with consideration given to experience.
A minimum of 5 years of experience is preferred, lighting certifications are a bonus
As a senior lighting designer, you will provide creative and proactive solutions for our clients and their projects. This role collaborates with and teaches other designers to ensure we continue to excel at a very high level in design. You will working on our larger and more complex projects and will collaborate closely with project teams and clients to help bring your, and the team’s, vision to reality. The Senior Lighting Designer will also be integrated with our Business Development team, and other roles to engage with client organizations that are top prospects as well as improve and expand relationships with our key clients!
Key Responsibilities
Execute the firms larger and more complex design projects
Develop, coach and mentor Lighting Designers and Designers
Deliver quality control procedures as they relate to design objectives
Collaborate with clients, consultants, staff, and others to prepare programming and conceptual through detailed design solutions
Ensure that required materials that support the design goals and objectives are in conformance with all applicable regulations and codes
Ensure timely completion of design documents by fully utilizing the resources of the firm, while meeting the design budgets and schedules
Facilitate meetings to build consensus and effectively solve project design issues
Review design intent related to construction documents and shop drawings to ensure consistency with client needs and design objectives
Higher level oversite and direction as well as leading lighting designers in completion of projects
Act as liaison between Lighting Designers/Designers and Project Managers
Work with the Lighting Group to assist with guiding the future of AE Design as it relates to Lighting Design
