WHERE IS YOUR HOMETOWN?
Nashville, Tennessee. Fun fact: Beyond it’s claim to fame as Music City, there is so much wildlife and greenery. The Warner Parks system has 3,195 protected acres of land. It’s a magical place to explore, including a hike I call “The Top of the World”.

WHAT INSPIRES YOU TO DO THE WORK YOU DO?
The Earth. I am always thinking about how my work will impact the environment and how to design in order to protect our home.

WHERE IS YOUR FAVORITE PLACE TO VISIT?
Denmark, fun fact: they leave their babies outside to sleep, so you’ll often see lines of strollers outside a restaurant with sleeping babies while the parents go inside to eat!

IF YOU HAD TO WATCH ONE SPORT FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE, WHAT WOULD IT BE AND WHY?
Tennis. It is the only sport I actually understand because I grew up watching it with my Dad. He’s what some call a “tennis wizard” and makes every move look so easy when it absolutely isn’t. Anything you need to know about tennis, he’s your guy!

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE QUOTE?

“If you paid attention, you’d be worried too” – Randy Newman, Monk Theme Song

WHAT’S SOMETHING PEOPLE WOULDN’T GUESS ABOUT YOU?

I played the harp for 10-years.

WHAT DO YOU DO TO RELIEVE STRESS?
I spend a lot of time cooking and searching for recipes I want to cook in the future. I run an Instagram @tasty.buffs where I post what I’ve been eating and cooking. When I am overwhelmed, I always have my kitchen to fall back on and help ground me.

WHERE IS YOUR FAVORITE PLACE TO EAT?
My absolute go-to is Ginza sushi in Nashville. I’ve been going since I was a child and their sansai udon has been my comfort food for years.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MOVIE AND WHY?
Under The Tuscan Sun
is my favorite because I felt an instant connection the first time I watched it. I could totally see my best friend and myself moving around the world. I am not a big movie-person, but this is one I go back to, which definitely says something.
